Gloplax has recently entered into a strategic alliance with KPMG Assurance and Consulting Services LLP (“KPMG in India”) one of India’s leading advisors in the Global Capability Centre (GCC) space to offer a broad-ranging and efficient “GCC as a service” model.

This would be a holistic joint proposition by KPMG in India and Gloplax, and would include the below elements:

  • Strategy and design including business case, location strategy, operating model design
  • Building a capability that would enable the entity set up, along with provisioning of the necessary facilities and infrastructure, setting up of operations and managing support functions – Human Resources, Finance, Risk Management and Compliance, Branding, Recruitment and providing support with technology design and implementation.
  • This model will enable:
    • Lower capital outlay
    • Speed to market and flexibility to ramp up an organisation’s GCC team (also help achieve the maturity faster)
    • Access to high quality talent
    • Access to market insights and industry experts (access to relevant and useful data/information at every lifecycle stages to make more informed decisions)
    • Competitive cost compared to traditional standalone GCC model.

This joint service model would have diverse industry focus, including sectors such as Financial Services, TMT (technology, media, and telecommunications), Healthcare, ENR (energy and natural resources), Manufacturing, Insurance and more.

We understand that building successful global delivery requires a strong team with a broad set of complementary skills. Deep knowledge of the Global Sourcing space is the critical differentiator for success in all aspects of this business and the best long-term value for companies comes from a tailored plan.

SETUP & RUN NEW GCC | GIC | CAPTIVE

1.Enabled GCC

We assist with the setup of a GCC, including Site Selection, Facilities, Tech Infrastructure, Recruitment, Support functions (HR, Finance, Legal, Risk & Controls, Facilities, Vendor Mgmt., Procurement, Communication / Branding, etc.). We provide the Leadership and support personnel till such time that a company is able to stabilize your own team and transition the responsibilities.

2.Hosted GCC

We perform all the activities that are required to enable the GCC, and go on to run the Support functions (HR, Finance, Legal, Risk & Controls, Facilities, Vendor Mgmt., Procurement, Communication / Branding, etc.) on a long- term basis to allow the company to concentrate on managing the Delivery and not worry about the enabling functions. This is a low capex low risk model to get started on their GCC journey. It allows for a fast and flexible setup, with cost efficiencies even at lower team sizes.

3. Virtual GCC

We also offer a variation of the Hosted GCC where a client may not setup a legal entity of their own but leverage our legal entity. Consequently, the Delivery staff are on our books, but it is identical to the Hosted GCC in every way.

In addition to helping client partners through the entire journey of setting up and running a GCC, we also offer some specific services in the global sourcing space.

GCC stands for Global Capability Center. This refers to an entity set up by a global company offshore to support with back-end work. Offshoring refers to a process when global companies relocate operations offshore for cost savings, access to global talent, value generation (transformation & innovation), time zone advantage (round the clock support) and others. Offshoring unlocks global potential, expense reductions and efficiency and taps into a diverse talent pool, fostering international growth and collaboration. GCCs enable the following:
  • Advancing beyond traditional offshoring models
  • Merging cost-efficiency with enhanced operational control
  • Harmonizing with the parent company’s culture and values
  • Spearheading innovation and technological advancements
  • Helping in the strategic growth and development of the parent company
  • Becoming essential for IT, R&D, and comprehensive business process management
  • Demonstrating increasing relevance in global business strategies
  • Accessing Global Talent

Gloplax specializes in enabling global companies to set up and run their global sourcing/offshore centers in India and The Philippines. Gloplax was established in August 2019 by leaders of the global sourcing industry with the purpose of making offshoring ‘simple and accessible.’ Gloplax brings extensive experience, an enabled ‘ecosystem’ approach, cutting-edge capability and technology enabled proprietary tools. Gloplax’s current client partners include marquee brands in the Financial Services, edtech and Retail space. Gloplax has presence across India, The Philippines, US, UK, and Australia.
As enterprises adopt more collaborative operating models, traditional onshore – offshore models are proving to be ineffective. Heightened regulatory scrutiny requires stronger control environments. Changing focus of global enterprises driven by the need for better governance, effectiveness, efficiency and experience, require a slew of evolved capabilities, like Digitization, Data & Analytics, Cybersecurity, Automation, Innovation, AI / ML, Design Thinking, etc. The skillsets required to lead this change is scarce. Number of enterprises utilizing global sourcing is rapidly increasing, thereby creating a serious dearth of suitable leadership talent.

Large scale organizations have leveraged GCCs effectively and benefitted tremendously, however mid-size companies, have not yet widely adopted and leveraged this strategy. Setting up a GCC appears to be complex and seen as something that only large companies can manage, thus in many ways prohibiting mid-size companies to consider this strategy. However, they are increasingly realising the value this can generate for their companies. There is a big market out there for India to leverage and this is a proven effective strategy that mid -size companies can leverage and benefit from.

We at Gloplax understand that there is a gap and have developed our proposition to bridge and address this gap.  We are driven with the purpose of making offshoring/global sourcing ‘simple and accessible’.
At present, Gloplax is spearheading a transformative project known as GUiDE, a technology-enabled GCC playbook. Positioned within their digital ecosystem, GUiDE revolutionises the approach to establishing GCCs, embodying Gloplax’s commitment to making offshoring and global sourcing “simple and accessible.”

GUiDE serves as a comprehensive and user-friendly tool, providing a detailed roadmap for the initiation and management of a successful Global Services Center. It includes essential resources such as templates, tools, industry data, and vendor support information. Notably, GUiDE allows clients to select an Operating Model that aligns with their specific requirements, ensuring flexibility and tailored guidance throughout the process.
It all started in 2018, when three colleagues got together to discuss the future of the global sourcing industry. The offshoring market was very conducive and welcoming for large companies, but mid-sized companies faced a very difficult task in extracting value from global sourcing. The trio wanted to do something that would level the playing field so that the mid- sized players could also leverage the same value as the big players. While they continued to work on the strategy and the construct, they formed a company in 2018 in anticipation to start the journey.   It started with two shareholders of the company in India. Soon Gloplax LLC was registered in Texas, US. However, it took about one year to formally announce the formation of the company in Aug. 2019.
