Roopesh Kumar

Roopesh Kumar is a Partner and Digital Product Leader at Gloplax, where he drives the vision, strategy, and execution of the firm’s specialist digital product portfolio focused on Global Capability Center (GCC) advisory, enablement, and lifecycle enhancement. He is responsible for accelerating the company’s digital product roadmap and strengthening its suite of data-driven solutions that help clients assess readiness, design tailored GCC models, and achieve measurable business outcomes.

A seasoned GCC practitioner with over 30 years of experience,including more than two decades in the GCC ecosystem, Roopesh brings deep expertise in building, scaling, and transforming global operations. Most recently, he worked with a Big Four consulting firm, leading Opportunity Assessment and Operating Model initiatives for an APAC bank to establish its Wholesale Lending operations within its India GCC.

Previously, at State Street, Roopesh led the firm’s largest India GCC team, overseeing diverse functions such as Client Management, Middle Office, Financial Reporting, Compliance, and specialized verticals including Alternatives and Global Markets. Prior to that, he was part of the leadership team at Wells Fargo, where he led Wholesale Banking operations across India and the Philippines. His leadership enabled significant scaling of operations across Corporate Real Estate, Securities, Trade Finance, and Corporate & Commercial Lending, while also driving innovation through partnerships with technology teams and incubating capabilities in Fraud Management, Analytics, and Innovation.

Earlier in his career, Roopesh spent close to a decade in London working with leading global financial institutions, including Deutsche Bank, UBS, Morgan Stanley, Lloyds Bank, and RBS. During this time, he played a key role in designing and executing GCC strategies, from business case development to implementation, and helped pioneer frameworks covering process design, talent management, training, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Roopesh has been actively involved in the startup ecosystem, leading startup research for Wells Fargo’s global accelerator and later serving as COO and Head of Strategy at LetsVenture.
